I’m on page 260 of Villette by Charlotte at the mo and if I’m not suffering from Brontë burnout after another 400 pages of that I’d like to give Emily’s novel another try before the Emerald Fennell film (which looks like it might be a mess ngl) comes out. Oh I’m terrible with most classics, I can never keep track of what’s going on or what the author is trying to say. Wuthering Heights was one of those. I just found it boring and never finished it. I also saw the trailer for the new adaptation and it’s definitely something…

I’m more excited about the soundtrack by charli than the film itself which isn’t a great sign lol… and I also remember being a bit bored by the book. But I’m a glutton for punishment so will probs try it again and report back

Classics Book Club 2 months agoPersonally going to try read some Poe because i’m obsessed with Mike flanagan series atm and The fall of the house of Usher series was SO GOOD! brutal adaptation – episode 2 omg 10/10
Also may rewatch Dickinson on Apple Tv because im having deep nostalgia for Emily Dickinsons poetry

I had a book of Poe stories when I was like 9 which I loveeed (unsure if I should’ve been experiencing The Tell Tale Heart before bedtime in year 5 lol but I digress) his poems are really cool too tho I got into those more recently.
