• Hi all—does anyone fancy reading Wuthering Heights? I’m on page 260 of Villette by Charlotte at the mo and if I’m not suffering from Brontë burnout after another 400 pages of that I’d like to give Emily’s novel another try before the Emerald Fennell film (which looks like it might be a mess ngl) comes out. Her poetry is great—kind of one upped by another Emily but I’d happily take silver medal to Dickinson—though when I read Wuthering Heights a few years ago I just found it grim and mean for the most part, though beautiful in places. It’s very beloved tho and I feel sort of left out for not being head over heels!

Oh I’m terrible with most classics, I can never keep track of what’s going on or what the author is trying to say. Wuthering Heights was one of those. I just found it boring and never finished it. I also saw the trailer for the new adaptation and it’s definitely something…
